Suitability

Suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin. Laser settings are carefully adjusted to suit each client’s skin tone, sensitivity and desired outcome, with resurfacing depths ranging from level 5–20.

Consultation

A separate skin consultation is not required before booking the Baby Face laser facial, as the treatment is suitable for all skin types and fully customised during your appointment.

Duration

45–60 minutes, including a 20-minute numbing cream application.

• This laser treatment feels surprisingly comfortable, comparable to a mild sunburn. After 20 minutes of numbing under infrared light, the skin is fully desensitized. The laser application itself takes just 5 minutes.
• Please note: Thullium laser does not require eye protection, we work up to the eye line with the laser. The bean shown in the image is not the laser but a guide light for the therapist.

BEFORE YOU VISIT: 

• • Good to know:
    • Suitable for all skin types, with energy levels and settings customised to your individual needs.
    • Treatment results peak on day 10, so book at least 10 days before an event.
  • Avoid:
    • Prescription Retinoids seven to -ten days before treatment.
      
    • Chemical Exfoliants, 3 days before treatment.
    • Harsh chemical peels 1 month before treatment.
    • Injectables two weeks before treatment.
    • Sunbathing or using sun-beds 2 weeks before treatment.
   

For the next 24 hours:

• Avoid wearing foundation for 24hrs. 
• Avoid swimming, excessive exercise, saunas, and steam rooms for 24hrs. 

For the next 14 days:

• Avoid sun exposure for two weeks, and use an SPF of 30 or higher.
• Avoid using chemical exfoliants on your skin for 7 days.
• Use 20 % Vitamin C twice a a day post treatment for up to 48hrs while the micro-channels are open. *Inky List Tranexemic Acid for hyper-pigmentation. 
• Use hydrating products, such as KICHI Forever Oil.

Downtime and effects:

• Baby Face has little to no downtime,  most clients experience light redness when they leave the clinic. Higher levels of resurfacing, skin could be red for 24hrs.
• Sensitive skin's such as Rosacea can be  red the day after treatment. We treat on lower levels for these skin types. 
• Your skin will feel dry and form a sandpaper texture for 5-7 days. This is normal and invisible to others.
• A laser purge is normal for skin's that are  prone to acne breakouts, this is considered a "self cleaning process", and will result in clearer skin. 
• Your skin will then gently invisibly shed, revealing new, fresh, glowing skin underneath on day 10 post treatment. 
• We recommend booking a course of 6 treatments for best results, saving over 25 % on single rates. 
• PIH process take's a minimum of 6 sessions, a noticeable lift will occur after every session. We recommend a Salmon DNA Booster to further aid pigmentation removal.
